Red Sox prospect Franklin Arias makes massive jump into top 10 of Keith Law's latest rankings
Briefly

Franklin Arias, a 19-year-old shortstop, has made a significant leap into Keith Law's top 10 MLB prospect rankings due to his outstanding performance in high-A Greenville. Since his promotion, he has posted impressive statistics, including a .360 batting average and only an 8.3 percent strikeout rate. Originally ranked 42nd, Arias jumped to 8th, showcasing his potential as a true shortstop with both defensive prowess and offensive power. The Red Sox also recently promoted Marcelo Mayer and are considering promoting other top prospects like Roman Anthony.
"Through Sunday, Arias was hitting .360/.406/.517 since his promotion to High A, and he's still just 19 until November," Law wrote. "He's a true shortstop, he doesn't punch out (8.3 percent at the higher level), and he has power."
Arias began last season at No. 42 on Law's preseason list. He has since jumped to No. 8 in the latest rankings.
"It's electric on both sides of the ball and if there's a flaw in his game, pitchers through the High-A level haven't exposed it yet."
"Leave it to the Red Sox to graduate a top-10 prospect (Kristian Campbell) and immediately have someone else replace him," Law wrote.
