Boston man pleads guilty to child pornography charges

Kyle Joyner, a 40-year-old Boston man, pleaded guilty to serious child sexual abuse charges, specifically involving the production of child pornography. From January to September 2023, he sexually exploited a known minor victim and was found with over 700 images of child sexual abuse material on confiscated cell phones. Initially indicted in March 2024 and pleading not guilty, Joyner changed his plea to guilty. He will be sentenced in September, facing a minimum of 15 years in prison and substantial fines for his crimes.
Investigators found more than 700 child sexual abuse material images, including of prepubescent girls, on two of his cell phones seized by investigators.
The charge of sexual exploitation of a child carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years, up to 30 years, in prison, along with a lifetime of supervised release.
