Brooklyn's Italian communities hold Good Friday processions

On April 18, Good Friday, Bishop Robert Brennan will lead a procession at Sacred Hearts & St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Carroll Gardens at 7 p.m. Concurrently, several Bensonhurst parishes will begin their own procession at 7:30 p.m., starting from the Shrine Church of St. Bernadette and concluding at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Former Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio will also participate in this event alongside numerous clergy and parishioners. Earlier in the day, some parishes will conduct the Liturgy of the Passion in multiple languages, enhancing the community's cultural and spiritual experience.

Several Bensonhurst parishes will participate in a Good Friday procession starting at 7:30 p.m., beginning at the Shrine Church of St. Bernadette.
Bishop Emeritus Nicholas DiMarzio will lead priests, deacons, Knights of Columbus, and parishioners from numerous churches in a Good Friday procession.
The Liturgy of the Passion will be conducted earlier on Good Friday in various languages including Italian, English, and Spanish at several parishes.
