New EMS station breaks ground in Seaport as neighborhood grows
Briefly

Boston has begun construction on a $16 million EMS station on the South Boston Waterfront, aiming to improve emergency response times in a neighborhood where calls have doubled over the past decade. The station will feature modern amenities for personnel, including a gym and crew space, and will be fully electric as part of the city’s climate efforts. Boston officials believe the facility will strengthen response capabilities and enhance health and safety for residents as the area continues to grow.
As the Seaport and Boston overall continue to grow, this new EMS station ensures we can continue to respond to emergency calls with timely care, as well as providing updated facilities and strong support for our EMTs and Paramedics.
This station will strengthen our ability to get the right resources to people at the right time, and improve outcomes when every second truly matters.
