Brooklyn Conservatory of Music Opens Applications for Jazz Leaders Fellowship

The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music has launched its Jazz Leaders Fellowship, providing $12,500 awards to emerging Black women and Black nonbinary jazz musicians. Now in its fifth year, the fellowship offers financial support, rehearsal space, and the chance to develop impactful projects. Since 2021, eight musicians have received this support. The fellowship aims to foster a lasting network among musicians, leading to collaborations such as teaching opportunities and performances at community events, enhancing the impact on both artists and the local jazz scene.
