An e-bike rider was fatally struck by an ambulance early Sunday morning in Downtown Brooklyn. The collision occurred just after 1 a.m. at Ashland Place and Willoughby Street. The victim was a 65-year-old man who was shortly pronounced dead at a hospital. The FDNY ambulance was driven by a 21-year-old first responder. A 28-year-old EMT and a 29-year-old EMT were also aboard at the time of the crash. All three ambulance crew members were hospitalized and reported to be in stable condition following the incident.
