Hernandez Morales was the last of four co-defendants who went to trial in October 2023 on various charges, including sex trafficking, to be sentenced."

Federal prosecutors and law enforcement, including the U.S. Attorney’s Office, FBI New York and HSI New York, announced the sentences and thanked the New York City Police Department and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Officials stated the family routed vulnerable victims, including minors, from Mexico into the United States and coerced them into sexual servitude.
