"'SubWave,' created by Ryan Webber, Gwen Goins, and Rafia Santana, draws from the rhythms of the East River, including waves synchronized with the passing subway, revealing forgotten histories along the shoreline."
"'Have You Eaten Yet,' by Justina-Maria Soto, Ceren Eskicirak, Summer Hwang, and Ivan Abogado, centers on food and care, inspired by a simple question often asked by loved ones."
"'Shadow Theater,' by Haoren Zhong, Ivy Jiang, and Zongshuai Zhang, transforms viewers' smartphones into tools to examine parts of a teddy bear's journey, revealing new layers of the story in real time."
"'Behind the Bricks,' by Michael Culleton, Jaye Du, William Yao, and Seungmin Yeon, allows participants to digitally 'chip away' at a brick wall to uncover video stories told by rats."
The Dumbo Projection Project returns for its seventh volume, running from May 1 to May 31. This neighborhood-wide video art exhibit takes place at the Manhattan Bridge and BQE wall in Dr. Susan Smith McKinney Steward Park. The theme 'Dumbo: Past, Present & Future' encourages viewer participation. Each installation is interactive, featuring works like 'SubWave,' which synchronizes waves with subway rhythms, and 'Have You Eaten Yet,' focusing on food and care. Other installations include 'Shadow Theater,' using smartphones for storytelling, and 'Behind the Bricks,' where participants uncover video stories.
