On Dec. 9, New York Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado joined community members demanding an end to ICE detention and inhumane enforcement practices. Delgado described protecting immigrant communities as a moral responsibility and urged passage of the New York for All Act, the New York Dignity Not Detention Act, and the Access to Representation Act to restrict collaboration with ICE, ban private detention operations, and guarantee legal counsel for those facing deportation.
