Brooklyn Children's Museum will host SMURFS Summer on July 13, celebrating art-making, music, and activities ahead of the Smurfs movie release. The event transforms the museum into a Smurf village from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Families can enjoy a rooftop dance, create cyanotype prints, and visit transformation stations. STEM fans can experiment with making blue dyes in the Nature's Engineers makerspace. A scavenger hunt will help kids rescue Papa Smurf. Admission is included with a ticket, and reservations are required for photo opportunities.
Families can join a rooftop dance and sing-along to the Smurfs soundtrack, create cyanotype prints in ColorLab and visit a transformation station for themed tattoos and props.
Kids can also embark on a museum-wide scavenger hunt to rescue Papa Smurf and earn a prize. There will be photo ops with Smurfette, No Name and Papa Smurf, along with giveaways like temporary tattoos and activity sheets.
