He's yet to suit up after sitting out Summer League with what the team called a minor left knee tendinopathy. At Media Day, general manager Sean Marks said Powell had not yet been cleared for 5-on-5 and would continue ramping up through training camp, with hopes of playing in the preseason. Powell later told reporters his knee "felt good" and expressed confidence in the return-to-play plan set by Brooklyn's medical staff.

First introduced in 2018, the Brooklyn Camo City Edition uniforms are trimmed with colorful Coogi-inspired stripes meant to represent the diversity of cultures in Brooklyn and the diversity of the Nets fanbase. At the bottom of the jersey is a shoutout to Biggie's neighborhood: a Bed-Stuy patch designed by local graphic artist Eric Haze. The jerseys sold out almost instantly when they were released in 2018, according to the team, and are one of the most popular Nets jerseys of all time.

The morning kicks off at 10am with a one-mile dribble parade from Pier 6 to Pier 2. Picture it: thousands of kids bouncing basketballs through Brooklyn Bridge Park, turning the piers into one giant percussion section. Registration for the parade is already full (every participant receives a ball and tee), but the good news is that you can still RSVP for the post-parade Liberty Fan Fest, which is free and open to all.
