Gussied Up Dog Boutique at 1310 Lincoln Ave. in Willow Glen will close once inventory is gone because the landlord declined to renew the lease to allow extensive plumbing repairs. A main water pipe runs beneath the store and prior partial repairs required opening part of the floor. The boutique operated for 21 years, offering specialty pet goods, baked treats sourced from local dog bakeries, toys, and a handful of cat items. Customers and their dogs visited regularly and expressed sadness. Owner Kim Lipsett opened the shop after leaving tech, inspired by her dog Gus; community support fueled growth despite rising labor costs.
