Although the body was found in Napa County, the investigation was turned over to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office."

San Joaquin County Sheriff's deputies responded to a reported abduction in Tracy where 57-year-old Avtar Singh was apparently forced into a vehicle. Singh reportedly worked at the Tracy Gurdwara Sahib. Surveillance footage showed a white SUV and three unidentified individuals in dark clothing with the victim at about 2:30 p.m., and the victim appears to have entered the vehicle against his will. On Friday a body was discovered along Highway 128 near Lake Berryessa, prompting a lengthy highway closure while investigators probed the scene. The body has not been identified, and authorities are investigating possible links to Singh. A GoFundMe posted on behalf of Singh's family stated that Singh has died and listed survivors as a wife and 6-month-old triplets. Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.
