A 3.9 quake was recorded at 12:48 p.m. and a 4.0 quake at 12:57, the U.S. Geological Survey said. A 2.7 was logged at 12:10 p.m. in the same area, along Towne Creek about 3 miles south of San Juan Bautista."

Thursday's quakes were about 12 miles south of the Gilroy epicenter of three that struck on Wednesday, the largest of them also 4.0."
Two earthquakes occurred near San Juan Bautista on Thanksgiving afternoon, a 3.9 at 12:48 p.m. and a 4.0 at 12:57 p.m. A smaller 2.7 quake was recorded earlier at 12:10 p.m. along Towne Creek about three miles south of San Juan Bautista. The U.S. Geological Survey collected a few hundred Did You Feel It responses within about half an hour, with most reports from the Salinas area and some reports for the larger quake as far away as Fremont. Those quakes were located roughly 12 miles south of the Gilroy epicenter where three quakes struck the previous Wednesday, the largest also measuring 4.0.
