Joby Aviation has expanded its site at Marina Municipal Airport, significantly doubling its aircraft production capacity and supporting greater commercial operations. The expansion includes plans to add hundreds of full-time jobs and a new aircraft for flight testing. Joby has been operating in Marina for seven years, focusing on developing an all-electric air taxi with fast and quiet capabilities. The facility aims to produce up to 24 aircraft annually and enhance FAA certification processes, testing, training, and maintenance capabilities.
