L.A. tells Porter Ranch, Granada Hills residents: Turn off that tap!
Briefly

A valve failure at a pump station disrupted water service for approximately 9,200 households in Porter Ranch and Granada Hills. The incident occurred on Tuesday during repair work and coincided with a regional heatwave. Residents were instructed not to flush toilets or water lawns to prevent further delays in repairs. The L.A. Department of Water and Power issued a boil water notice after service interruption. Although some households had water restored by Friday morning, officials warned against its use to maintain appropriate pressure for repairs.
"We are very concerned that if people continue to use the water that is coming out of their faucets today, it is going to delay the ability of the [Los Angeles Department of Water and Power] to get the line back and restored."
"I know after two days of not having water, when we see that water sort of start trickling into our faucets, that we think all is okay, but in fact we need to build up that pressure."
