
Milpitas will hold a Dia de Muertos 5k run/walk and wellness fair on Nov. 1 at Gill Memorial Park. The 5k starts at 9 a.m. on an accessible route and returns to the park; the wellness fair runs 10 a.m.–noon with Mariachi music, Bay Area Aztec dance, sugar skull face painting, kids crafts, and wellness resources. Participants may collect swag early; all runners must start by 9:30 a.m. Registration costs $32–$42; minors require an adult-signed waiver. The event is rain or shine with no refunds. The Milpitas Teen Center will host a free Halloween event Oct. 31, 5–8 p.m., for ages 13–18 with a haunted house and contests; membership is required.
