Flip Flop Farms in Pescadero, San Mateo County suffered heavy wind and rain damage during Monday's storm. A 200-pound water tank was thrown across the highway and a plastic roof was blown off. Plants were ripped out of the ground, and damage patterns suggested something may have touched down. An on-site resident described staying hunkered down as dangerous winds sent a metal object flying an estimated 100 to 200 feet. The owners face thousands of dollars in repairs. The National Weather Service is investigating whether the event was an actual tornado that touched down on the ground.
