Los Gatos concluded a busy musical summer with Jazz on the Plazz, Music in the Park and Sounds of Summer. Los Gatos Morning Rotary created Sounds of Summer to focus on youth with mental health issues and held Endless Summer on Aug. 22 to raise awareness of CASSY's counseling services. The second Taste of Los Gatos will close North Santa Cruz Avenue on Sept. 6 for live music, food sampling and wine tasting, drawing crowds over 3,000. KCAT will host an Oktoberfest on Sept. 13 with family activities and a stein-holding contest. St. Mary's Fall Carnival runs Oct. 3-5 to benefit the school and parish.

The second Taste of Los Gatos is coming up Saturday, Sept. 6. From noon to 5 p.m., North Santa Cruz Avenue will be closed to allow vendors and visitors to stroll the street listening to live music, sampling food from local restaurants and for those over 21, tasting some of the area's best wines.
