San Jose police seek identity of suspect in attempted sexual assault

Shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2024, a delivery courier in the Vonna Court and Alcazar Drive area was assaulted when a man entered her truck, physically attacked her, and attempted a sexual assault as she returned from a delivery. The victim yelled for help and fought back, and the suspect fled on foot. Security cameras captured parts of the attack. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s or early 30s, about 5'10" with a skinny to medium build, and remains unidentified and at large. Shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2024, police received a report of an assault and attempted felony sex crime against a woman working as a courier for a delivery services company, authorities said. The victim had been carrying out a delivery in the area of Vonna Court and Alcazar Drive, authorities said. As she returned to her truck after the delivery, the suspect entered the truck and physically assaulted the victim.
He took her to the back of the truck, where he attempted to sexually assault her as she yelled for help and fought back. The suspect then fled, authorities added. Police believe that the suspect had been walking in the vicinity of the incident. Parts of the attack were caught on security cameras, authorities added. The suspect remains unidentified and at-large, police said.
