The NFL will set up its Super Bowl media center, halftime show production and other operations at the Youth Soccer Park adjacent to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara beginning Jan. 5 and continuing through Feb. 22. The Santa Clara Youth Soccer League, with 1,500 players, will be displaced and is seeking alternative fields, lighting and scheduling. League leaders report anxiety about finding adequate, lighted replacement fields and recall extensive field damage after the 2016 Super Bowl setup. The city's agreement requires the NFL to repair any damaged fields and pledges include financial contributions and assistance locating alternate fields. Officials worry about lengthy turf replacement times.
