CBC Sports has secured a five-year broadcasting partnership with the Canadian Elite Basketball League, beginning with coverage of the first best-of-three championship in August. Marquee games will air on CBC-TV with all contests available on CBC Gem and CBC Sports YouTube. The CEBL operates 10 teams across six provinces, with 70 percent of players being Canadian—the highest domestic talent proportion in any professional league nationally. The league has grown its fan base to 4.1 million Canadians, a 57 percent increase over four years, with over 50 percent of fans aged 34 or younger. Nearly 40 CEBL players have signed NBA contracts.
