Recent research has revealed a dangerous association between Pfizer's Depo-Provera birth control shot and a heightened risk of brain tumors, specifically meningioma. Approximately 400 women are filing a class action lawsuit against Pfizer, alleging that the company knew about these risks but failed to adequately inform users. A British Medical Journal study highlighted that progestin users face up to a 5.6 times greater likelihood of developing these tumors over time. Although warning labels were added in several countries, the lack of a similar warning in the U.S. is a point of contention in the lawsuit.
I thought it would be more reliable and convenient since I wouldn't have to take it daily. I had no idea it would lead to such serious health problems.
