Under the skin, the still unnamed electric city car will be related to the recently revealed Renault Twingo, but it will be around 2,000 cheaper, with an expected starting price of around 18,000. That's marginally more than the Spring, whose starting price in France today is 16,900."
Dacia will add a Europe-built electric city car to its lineup and sell it alongside the China-built Spring. The new model shares underpinnings with the Renault Twingo and was developed in just 18 months. The car will be built in Slovenia, qualify for the EU's new E-car category, and is expected to debut in the second quarter of 2026. The planned starting price is around €18,000, slightly above the Spring's current €16,900 French entry price but cheaper than the Twingo. The Spring received major updates in 2024 and 2025, including an LFP battery and increased power.
