"Earlier this year, Hyundai recalled thousands of vehicles in the U.S. and Canada and stopped sales of some of its new Palisades due to a different issue."
Hyundai has issued a warning regarding a potential wiring issue in the seatbelt system of some 2026 Palisade models. The problem affects the third-row, left-hand side seat, where damaged wiring can cause the seatbelt indicator to incorrectly show that the seatbelt is buckled. This malfunction increases the risk of injury in a crash. Approximately 4,203 vehicles in Canada may be impacted. Hyundai will notify affected drivers and recommend visiting a dealership for repairs or checking their vehicle identification number online.
