Rivian's Fast Charger Network Is Growing, And Most Stalls Work With All EVs Now
Briefly

Rivian operates 122 DC fast charging locations across the United States, with 93 publicly accessible and 29 reserved for R1S and R1T owners. Over 75% of the Adventure Network is open to all electric vehicles. A network retrofit program is converting older sites to support non-Rivian EVs and adding native NACS (Tesla-style) connectors at Charging Outposts and retrofitted stations. Upgraded stalls will temporarily offer both CCS1 and NACS before CCS1 cables are removed, requiring adapters for earlier-generation Rivian models. New Rivian models including the 2026 R1S/R1T and upcoming R2 and R3 use NACS ports. Google Maps integration was added to Rivian in-car navigation.
Rivian, the maker of the adventure-ready R1S and R1T electric cars, now has over 120 DC fast charging stations across the United States, with most of them being open to all EVs. In a recent blog post, the American startup said that over 75% of its fast charging stations are accessible to all EV drivers, without giving specific figures. I, however, counted all the stations on Rivian's charging map and discovered that the company currently has a total of 122 locations across the country,
Moreover, the EV maker is adding Tesla-style charging cables to its stalls. The first stations with native NACS connectors are the so-called Charging Outposts, but older stations will also get the new connectors as the company has transitioned from the CCS1 charging port of the first-generation R1S and R1T to the NACS connector on the 2026 models. At first, the upgraded sites will have both CCS1 and NACS connectors,
