Cole appointed manager of Serie B side Cesena
"The entire Cesena FC family is thrilled to welcome manager Ashley Cole to lead the Bianconeri first team and extends a warm welcome to him and his staff in Cesena, wishing them all the best of luck in this new adventure."
"Cole enjoyed a hugely successful career on the pitch, winning 13 domestic trophies, including three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups, the League Cup and both the Champions League and Europa League."
Ashley Cole, the former Arsenal and Chelsea defender with 107 England caps, has taken on his first managerial position with Serie B club Cesena until the end of the season. The 45-year-old retired from playing in 2019 after his time at Derby and has since worked as a coach at Derby, Everton, Birmingham, and England. Cole had a distinguished playing career, winning 13 domestic trophies including three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups, the League Cup, Champions League, and Europa League. He previously played for Roma in Serie A with 16 appearances. Cesena currently sits eighth in Italy's second tier after a difficult run of seven games without a win, losing four and drawing three.
