The Chicago Bulls will retire Derrick Rose's No.1 jersey during a postgame ceremony at the United Center on Jan. 24, 2026, following a game against the Boston Celtics. Rose retired before the 2024-25 season after a 15-year NBA career that began as the No.1 overall pick by the Bulls. He spent eight seasons in Chicago, won Rookie of the Year in 2009 and became the youngest MVP in 2011, leading the team to a 62-20 record and the Eastern Conference Finals. Rose played 723 career games, appeared in three All-Star Games and later played for the Knicks, Pistons, Timberwolves, Cavaliers and Grizzlies. The Bulls honored him in January with a mayoral proclamation of Jan. 4 as "Derrick Rose Day" and a team announcement that his jersey would be retired.
