DSL White Sox finished 29-26 with a -24 run differential and did not qualify for the playoffs. The offense ranked 14th in OPS (.769) among 52 Dominican League teams, while the pitching staff finished 39th with a 5.98 ERA. Orlando Suarez led the staff with 40 innings, a 3.60 ERA, 3.96 FIP and 11.0 K/9. Yobal Rodriguez worked 30 1/3 innings with a 2.97 ERA, 3.64 FIP, no home runs allowed and a .161/.277/.188 opponent slash line. Fidel Montero converted from outfield to pitching, throwing 28 2/3 innings with a 4.40 ERA and 10.7 K/9. Despite finishing with a -24 run differential, the club had a 29-26 record when it was all said and done. On the plus side, the DSL White Sox finished with the No. 14 OPS (.769) out of 52 teams in the vast Dominican League. However, pitching was a different story, as the DSL White Sox finished 39th in ERA (5.98). This was not enough to make the playoffs, but the team had a respectable performance overall.
Suarez led the team in innings pitched (40), and his ERA (3.60) and FIP (3.96) were well above-average in the DSL's run environment. Suarez also averaged 11.0 strikeouts per nine innings, as he did a great job of missing bats. Yobal Rodriguez, 17, was another starting pitcher who was on top of his game. Rodriguez was fourth on the team in innings pitched (30 1/3), with an ERA (2.97) and FIP (3.64) that were lower than Suarez's.
