White Sox rally in eighth to top Twins

Chicago rallied late to beat Minnesota 6-5. Brooks Baldwin and Mike Tauchman each hit RBI doubles in the top of the eighth to put Chicago ahead. Chase Meidroth hit a two-run homer and Colson Montgomery added a solo shot as Chicago opened a 3-0 lead in the second. Tauchman added an RBI single in the fifth. Minnesota tied the game in the sixth on a Royce Lewis solo homer and a Byron Buxton sacrifice fly. Brooks Lee gave Minnesota a 5-4 lead with an RBI single in the seventh. Tyler Alexander worked 1 2/3 innings of relief to earn the win.
September 1 - Brooks Baldwin and Mike Tauchman each hit an RBI double in the top of the eighth to lift the Chicago White Sox to a 6-5 comeback win over the Minnesota Twins on Monday afternoon in Minneapolis. Chase Meidroth hit a two-run homer for Chicago, which won its second game in a row. Colson Montgomery added a solo homer for the White Sox. Byron Buxton had a double and two RBIs for Minnesota. Royce Lewis hit a solo homer.
White Sox left-hander Tyler Alexander (5-13) earned the victory despite allowing one run on two hits in 1 2/3 innings of relief. He was one of six relief pitchers to follow opener Fraser Ellard, who allowed one unearned run in 1 2/3 innings. Twins right-hander Justin Topa (1-4) gave up two runs on three hits in one inning. He and three other relievers followed starter Bailey Ober, who gave up four runs on six hits in five innings.
