D-backs' Carroll headed to IL with wrist fracture
Briefly

Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo announced that outfielder Corbin Carroll has a chip fracture in his left wrist, sustained during a game against the Toronto Blue Jays. The injury was overlooked in initial X-rays. Lovullo expressed confusion regarding the injury's timing, as Carroll had played through it before being diagnosed. Carroll, a standout player who leads the majors with nine triples and has 20 home runs, will receive further medical opinions to assess the diagnosis and recovery timeline. Additionally, other team members, including Eugenio Suarez and Josh Naylor, also faced injury issues in the same game.
Torey Lovullo remarked, "That's still a little bit confusing to all of us… Just goes to show you how hard these guys are throwing."
Lovullo indicated Carroll would seek further opinions on his injury, stating, "He's going to continue to get some opinions just to find out what that official diagnosis means and what the timeframe will be."
