Shane Bieber has been placed on the 60-day injured list due to elbow inflammation, following his initial 15-day IL placement on March 22. This move means he will be inactive until at least May 21. Toronto acquired Bieber from Cleveland at last year's trade deadline. He had a 3.57 ERA in seven appearances after returning from Tommy John surgery. The roster spot cleared by Bieber's move allows for infielder Lenyn Sosa's addition, who was acquired from the White Sox in exchange for outfielder Jordan Rich.
