Tyler Alexander, recently designated for assignment by the Milwaukee Brewers, signed with the Chicago White Sox on June 8 and took an Uber from Milwaukee to Chicago's Rate Field to join a game against Kansas City. Although he didn't reach in time for first pitch, he performed long relief, allowing one run over three innings. After struggling with the Brewers, where he had a 6.19 ERA, Alexander demonstrated a quick turnaround as he faced new challenges on the field and successfully transitioned between teams.
"Today has been a whirlwind," Alexander said, reflecting on his quick transition from the Brewers to the White Sox and the ride he took to reach the game.
"Traffic wasn't great," Alexander commented on his 90-minute Uber ride, showcasing how he swiftly moved from Milwaukee to Chicago for his debut.
