Tim Elko made his MLB debut with the Chicago White Sox, after being called up from Triple-A Charlotte where he excelled offensively. With a .348 batting average and impressive stats, he led minor-league baseball in OPS and tied for the home run lead. Sox manager Will Venable praised Elko for his positive attitude and hard work. Selected in the 10th round of the 2022 draft, Elko has a commendable minor-league track record, and he aims to contribute to the team's success as they face the Miami Marlins.
"Walking in (the clubhouse) and seeing the layout and everything and just getting a feel for being here is a pretty cool feeling," Elko said.
"Obviously excited about the potential offensively and defensively," Sox manager Will Venable said. "He just is always positive. And works extremely hard."
