Andrew Vaughn has improved his offensive performance recently, accumulating two home runs, three doubles and four RBIs in a span of just a week. Despite rookie Tim Elko's talent and fan enthusiasm surrounding his debut, Vaughn insists he feels no added pressure and appreciates having Elko on the team to boost overall offensive output. While Vaughn continues to contribute significantly to the White Sox, especially in home runs and runs batted in, both players emphasize teamwork and their shared goal of enhancing the team's performance amidst a rebuilding phase.
"I think it's just helping the offense,â Vaughn said. âHe was raking down in Triple-A, and we're glad to have him here."
"We're just trying to play together as a team and put runs on the board and win some games,â Elko said.
"I'm just sticking to my approach," Vaughn said. "I just take the positive from the negative and just keep going."
Vaughn remains a de facto top producer on a team woefully lacking offense, tied for the team lead in home runs and leading in RBI.
