CQI Expands 2026 Global Coffee Fund, Launches Matching Grants
"enhance access to coffee education and promote the development of educators in areas that lack sufficient local representation."
"CQI knows that the coffee sector is facing extraordinary challenges, and the Global Coffee Fund is one way we are working to address them,"
"At a time when the public sector is disinvesting in coffee communities, CQI is tripling our commitment to the Global Coffee Fund and inviting the industry to co-invest."
Coffee Quality Institute expanded the 2026 Global Coffee Fund to mobilize $500,000 to broaden access to coffee quality education and related initiatives. The fund maintains up to $100,000 in grants for projects that enhance access to coffee education and develop local educators. New matching grants provide dollar-for-dollar co-investment support up to $200,000, creating up to $400,000 in new investments. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. CQI launched the fund in 2022, completed transfer of The Q certification to the Specialty Coffee Association in October 2025, and is refocusing on post-harvest processing education and producer-connected activities while marking its 30th anniversary.
