Odeko Acquires Northern California Supplier Six Degrees Coffee
"Odeko said the acquisition of the Chico-based company, which has served the region with coffee and equipment for more than 20 years, expands its West Coast footprint to Northern California, while complementing existing distribution hubs in Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland, Oregon. The company - whose range of services to cafe and restaurant operators includes next-day delivery on wholesale orders, inventory management, finance and insurance - said it already counts 17,000 independent businesses as its clients in at least 16 U.S. markets."
"According to Odeko, existing Six Degrees Coffee customers will be onboarded to Odeko's ordering platform and national catalog. To this point, the Six Degrees coffee portfolio has been focused on the specialty coffee segment, with wholesale coffees from roasters such as Caffè Umbria, Equator Coffees, Peet's Coffee and Thanksgiving Coffee. Six Degrees was founded in 2003 by coffee industry veterans Elizabeth Goldblatt and Amy Louis."
""Partnering with Odeko allows us to carry that legacy forward while giving our customers access to even greater resources, technology and opportunities for growth." The deal closely follows Odeko's acquisition of another major regional distributor, Atlanta Coffee Supply Group. Both acquisitions follow a recent $96 million Series E funding round, which brought Odeko's total equity raised to approximately $280 million since its founding in 2019."
