"Our mission has always been to align with Bitcoiners,"
"By continually lowering the cost to mine, we're enabling everyday people - not just institutions - to strengthen Bitcoin's resilience and keep freedom in their own hands."
Sazmining launched a new data center in Ethiopia powered entirely by hydropower from the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). The facility allows clients who purchase rigs to begin hashing within seven days. Electricity at the site is priced at $0.056 per kWh, enabling estimated energy costs of approximately $50,000 to mine Bitcoin using hyper-efficient rigs. The Ethiopia site represents Sazmining's entry into Africa and adds to operations across four continents. The facility aims to create sustainable local jobs, attract new industries, and provide customers direct access to Bitcoin mining while avoiding exchange-related premiums and restrictions.
