"Imabari Shipbuilding Marugame Office / Yano Aoyama Architecture Design"
Intervention at Imabari Shipbuilding's Marugame Site reorganized the working environment of multiple parties involved in large tanker construction. The project consolidated teams and functions that were previously scattered across a 0.88 km industrial area into a centralized head office. The reorganization aimed to improve coordination, communication, and operational efficiency among design, fabrication, and management stakeholders. Yano Aoyama Architecture Design developed the Marugame Office to accommodate the specialized spatial and logistical needs of shipbuilding operations. The new configuration sought to optimize workflow, reduce transit times across the site, and create shared facilities supporting collaborative decision-making during tanker construction.
