An acoustically tuned Music Practice Building at Universidad de los Andes pairs concrete silence with wooden echoes to form a restrained campus presence focused on sound. The project houses music practice functions with interiors optimized for acoustic quality and pedagogy. Multidisciplinary consultants managed acoustics, structural and concrete engineering, soils, heritage, finishes, and external campus connections to ensure technical and contextual integration. The design emphasizes modest external expression, material clarity, and careful coordination, delivering contained spatial and sonic experiences that resonate internally while minimizing visual imposition on the campus fabric.
