Microsoft is launching an orchestration platform for updates, allowing all apps, drivers, and system components to be updated with a single button. Currently in private preview, it supports a variety of update types and promises a consistent experience by integrating notifications and app history in Windows Update. Automated scheduling reduces developer burdens and enhances the efficiency of installations by considering system conditions like CPU usage and network status. This initiative extends Microsoft’s existing package management solutions while integrating with third-party managers.
All apps, drivers, and system components should be able to be updated with a single button. That is the goal of Microsoft's orchestration platform for updates.
The new orchestration platform is aimed to eliminate fragmented update experiences by integrating and intelligently managing updates within the Windows ecosystem.
