The dirt road to Bust’n B Ranch in Pioneertown is long, narrow, isolated, and unlit, creating an ominous drive after sundown. The ranch-style home offers a welcoming open concept layout for groups, with a living room to the left and a formal dining area straight ahead. Large windows bring in strong daylight that reveals Southwestern design details such as weathered leather sling chairs, custom bench seating, and a built-in fireplace. The main living area includes deep seating with a three-seater Neva sofa, a cowhide rug, and woven natural fiber tapestry. An extra-large LG smart TV supports streaming and movie viewing.
"The dirt road leading to Bust'n B Ranch in Pioneertown, is long, narrow, and isolated, devoid of street lights and rarely another car in sight. After sundown, it's the kind of ominous drive befitting a horror movie car chase sequence. But through the glass paneled front doors that lead into the ranch-style home, great design awaits."
"My group of six arrived just shy of 9 p.m. to this desert retreat-though I'd recommend aiming closer to the check-in start time of 4 in the afternoon, both to enjoy the picturesque Joshua trees that surround the property and avoid the terror of the pitch black nocturnal drive. The property's welcoming open concept layout lets you flow freely through the space-situated to the immediate left is a living room with an ample amount of seating while straight ahead the formal dining space outfitted with a rustic table and curved back chairs provides the ideal place for group meals."
"During the day, light pours in through generously sized windows, illuminating thoughtful details I missed in my initial purvey of the property like weathered leather sling chairs, custom bench seating, a built-in fireplace, and so many more Southwestern-style decor elements. (In fact, the sun is so fierce I don't think we touched any light switches before 8 p.m.). Off of the main living area, an extra deep-seated, three-seater Neva sofa from Sixpenny does most of the heavy lifting, accented by a cowhide rug and a woven natural fiber tapestry."
"An extra-large LG smart TV to screen any and every Bravo spin-off, Survivor reunion, or desert films like Ingrid Goes West (the movie that inspired my desire to go to Joshua Tree in the first place) hangs on the opposite wall."
