ConAgra was previously believed to manufacture Great Value peanut butter, based on recalls in 2007 involving Salmonella contamination traced to a ConAgra facility in Georgia that affected both Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter. In 2021, Post Holdings acquired the Peter Pan brand from ConAgra, making it likely that Post Holdings also became involved in manufacturing Great Value peanut butter.
