Original Joe's in Walnut Creek will reopen Wednesday after a late-night kitchen fire cut its opening weekend short. The overnight fire occurred on August 14 and caused smoke damage to a wall in the back of the restaurant. There were no major damages or injuries reported. The restaurant had opened less than a week prior to the fire. Reservations are available on a limited basis. The bar area features the Original Joe's sign from the first location that opened in San Francisco's Tenderloin in 1937. Several other Original Joe's locations operate around the Bay Area.
