Councilmembers Rashi Kesarwani and Cecilia Lunaparra will not run for re-election, leaving two of four council races without incumbents. Councilmembers Igor Tregub and Mark Humbert plan to seek new terms. Kesarwani has served District 1 since 2018, advocating for housing development and policy changes. Lunaparra was elected in 2024 for District 7. Kesarwani expressed gratitude for her service and highlighted her commitment to progress and future opportunities for Californians.
