Antioch will complete a comprehensive General Plan update for the first time since 2003 to address growth, new housing, and changing business and industry needs. Residents and stakeholders can provide feedback and access background, timelines, and public documents at https://antioch.generalplan.org. City Manager Bessie Scott emphasized public involvement and ease of staying informed. Residents may sign up for email and text notifications via the 'Notify Me' platform under 'General Plan Update'. Principal Planner Kevin Scudero noted general plans typically have a 20-year horizon and the city expects to finish the update in about 24 months. An October 2025 kickoff identified corridors needing special attention, including Lone Tree Way, Deer Valley Road, A Street, and East 18th Street.
