The date for submission to the National Council of Special Education has been pushed back from February 2026 to October 2025 The Minister in charge of Special Education at the Department of Education says that parents of children with special needs will now have four months less in which to contact the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) in order to secure a place for the 26/27 academic year.
Parents now must get their requests in by October 1 of this year, where the date had previously been February 1 of 2026.
