A lawsuit alleges that antisemitic UCLA students physically assaulted Jewish classmates, injured them, and excluded them from campus while the university did not intervene. The complaint states that after the October 7 Hamas attacks, antisemitic hatred toward Jewish and Israeli students escalated to assaults, injuries, and deprivation of educational opportunities. It alleges that anti-Israel protesters seized control of UCLA’s main quad in April 2024, set up barricades, and physically blocked Jewish and Israeli students from entering classrooms, libraries, and walkways. The complaint describes victims being knocked unconscious, beaten with sticks, kicked, and sprayed with pepper spray, and includes threats such as “Hitler missed one.” It also alleges militia-style checkpoints and graffiti including “F*** ALL Jews” and “F*** Israel,” with police allegedly failing to act.
