Eat. Learn. Play brought "Christmas with the Currys" to life by hosting free holiday-themed book fairs for 47 Oakland Unified elementary schools. Organizers estimate more than 17,000 students were able to find and choose brand-new books for themselves at the fairs. The initiative allowed students to select books personally, encouraging ownership of reading materials and supporting literacy engagement. Eat. Learn. Play centers on three pillars — eat, learn, play — intended to establish a healthy and happy childhood for kids. The Currys sought to authentically provide proper support and resources for children that deserve it. Since its inception, Eat. Learn. Play has distributed more than 1 million books to students throughout Oakland.
