"LOI Premier Division Goals from Dawson Devoy, Douglas James-Taylor, Ross Tierney and Patrick Hickey sealed a vital three points on the road for Bohs as they defeated Galway United at Eamonn Deacy Park."
"The away side started brightly. Moments into the contest, Dayle Rooney's effort from close range went wide, after Evan Watts failed to claim a delivery into the Galway penalty box. To their credit, Galway grew into the contest as the half went on and they created a number of chances in the opening 20 minutes."
"Bohs, however, that took the lead in the 25 th minute. Devoy - who has been called up for the upcoming Republic of Ireland international against Canada - picked up possession 25 yards out from goal and he fired an effort past Watts, to give the north Dublin side the lead. Five minutes later, James-Taylor doubled their advantage. Devoy drove at the heart of the Galway defence, before he laid the ball off to the former Walsall player, and he finished neatly from close range."
"The Terryland outfit started the second period on the front foot, and they got a goal back in the 61 st minute, when Ed McCarthy headed home following a Kris Twardek cross. The visitors looked to have finished the game as a contest in the 74 th minute, when Connor Parsons went down the left flank and he pulled the ball back to Tierney who finished into an empty net. McCarthy responded immediately though for the 2023 First Division champions, when he fired an effort to the back of the Bohs net from 30 yards."
